Job Description:

Inergize Digital is seeking a systems administrator that will research, test, implement and maintain various systems. We are seeking an experienced administrator who is self-motivated and solution driven. In this critical role, you will help power proprietary applications for local media companies that touch people's lives.

The systems administrator reports to the IT manager and provides solutions to a variety of complex technical issues. The desired candidate must effectively prioritize and manage time, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a creative problem solver who works well independently and as part of a team. The systems administrator position requires after-hours availability for issues support and scheduled maintenance windows.

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintenance
  • Research, test and implement upgrades, patches and firmware on all systems.
  • Review and monitor logs and events on all systems.
  • Review and test back-up routines to improve performance and recovery timelines.
  • Administer and monitor virus, spyware and intrusion detection systems.
• Projects
  • Contribute to the design, documentation and implementation of system upgrades.
  • Contribute to system architecture planning.
• Support
  • Provide IT support to product developers during and after business hours.
  • Respond to system alerts.
  • Provide desktop support for Inergize Digital staff.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field plus two years of work experience in a related field.

or

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or university in a related field plus three years of work experience in a related field.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum of two years server administration experience supporting MS Server 2003/08, MS SQL Server, IIS 6 and 7 and Linux.
• Prefer additional experience with: ASP.NET, VMware ESXi, F5, Cisco, EMC, Suse Enterprise, Postfix, MySql, Apache and Tomcat, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ShoreTel phone systems.
